In December 2009 Tony Abbott became Leader of the Federal Opposition, a coalition of the Liberal Party and the National Party in Australia.

In October 2009, Abbott visited the country town of Beaufort in the state of Victoria where he referred to the science on climate change as "absolute crap!"

By 21st August 2010, this climate denier could well become Australia's Prime Minister.

In another laughable attempt by a climate denier to link environmentalists to Nazis, the leader of the National Party in the Australian Senate brands environmentalists as green fanatics and eco-Nazis.

BTW: The farmers of Queensland, the National Party's core constituency, must be wondering just whose side Barnaby is on. Even the very conservative National Farmers Federation has called on Barnaby and the National Party not to oppose Australia's carbon emissions trading scheme. Barnaby should be investigating the potentially very profitable agricultural carbon offset market that could secure the future of farmers and restore degraded land in the process. With scientists telling us that future heatwaves, droughts and floods will make existing conditions look mild by comparison, farmers will rue the day they ever voted for this science and environment hating fool.

Oh, how very droll! George Pell is an Australian Roman Catholic cardinal. He is the current Archbishop of Sydney.

He went on to state that global warming was much less important than tackling poverty, marriage breakdown or abortion rates.
